University of Missouri Productivity Indexes for Wheat Varieties

2007, 2006, 2005, 2004

SOURCE OF YIELD DATA: Missouri Agricultiral Experiment Station Special Reports

"WINTER WHEAT - MISSOURI CROP PERFORMANCE FOR 2007, 2006, 2005."

by Anne L.  McKendry, David N. Tague, and Julie K. Solomon.

The Missouri trials were at seven locations in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Test weights were the average of the seven locations in 2007.

Heading dates were recorded when 50% of the heads in a plot had extended above the flag leaf collar.

Heading dates were significantly impacted by freeze damage, specifically early lines.

Freeze damage was assessed 10 days after and rated on 0-9 scale with 0 = no visible damage and 9 = 100% of

plants showing leaf burn and complete stem collapse laading to lodging with plants flat on ground.
